with the possible exception of some cases of incest. Consent, to me, means informed consent. A minor cannot give informed consent; a child doesn't understand the ramifications and potential consequences of sex. Neither does a mentally incompetent person. There are already laws prohibiting using a position of authority to compel sex; they aren't enforced as they should be, but they already exist. Bestiality is also non-consensual, as an animal clearly cannot give informed consent. Neither can a dead person. Incest - well, that depends on whether we're talking about sibling experimentation or adults having sexual contact with children. That's no different from any other child sexual abuse, except that the psychological damage is even worse. Sibling experimentation - all the laws in the world aren't going to do away with that.

Those are basically strawman arguments.

Oh, and as to "sex while infected" - people have been convicted of assault and attempted manslaughter when they knowingly had unprotected sex while infected with HIV.

There must be informed consent for sure. If a person is informed someone has HIV and still has sex with that person then they must live with the choice.

I and my partner still have sex (very safe sex) despite the fact that have HIV and he doesn't.

I'd hate to think someone would try to force me to live a life of celibacy when I am behaving responsibly.
