Are you a blanket thief?

Luckily my spouse does not read DU or else I would never confess. :-) But now is my time to be honest. I steal the covers. I have perfected this technique where I roll into the covers. By about the middle of the night when it is cold I have a wonderful blanket cocoon. Either I notice my husband with no covers or he wakes up and starts unrolling me to get some blankets.

Any other DUers who feel the need to confess?

3. that's so funny I was just talking about this

in the "which side of the bed do you sleep on" poll/thread. Hubby insists I am the blanket thief. I think he just thrashes around ( he is 6'4") and they just come off him. Oh well. I guess we'll have to install a camera! to see whom the culprit is!

I'm a horrible cover hog, and got tired of hearing how I would leave my 'poor sweet defenseless partner to shiver in the chilly night air.' It was definitely time to buy another blanket!

I get too hot at night frequently, so I'm quite happy to be rid of some of the covers. That is fortunate, because my partner does have a slight tendency to steal them for herself. Just once in a while, though.

Right now it pretty much doesn't matter - the blankets are all mine (how's that for glass half full?) Last time it mattered, I found myself trying to let whatever I could be uncovered as a "heat sink." I have no idea she survived under all those blankets - my science background tells me that all the proteins in her body should have denatured with that amount of heat.

15. I sleep with 2 blanket thieves.....

one is my wife and the other is one of our cats. He finally found THE perfect spot to sleep....right between us...so what my wife doesn't take, he finishes off.
I wake up almost everynight chilled...I pull and pull, and he doesn't budge.
