I think I know why GD gets the lion's share of the DUzies

A thread has to be recommended for a DUzy, and since humor is a relative rarity in GD, when it does rear its funny head, GDers think, "OMG! DUzy!"

OTOH, the Lounge Weird Undead take humor for granted. It's what we DO. We don't NEED no steenkin' awards.
