18. Good luck doing that now...
I used to scrape up a little dirt from the grave site and put it into Coricidin bottles. I would then give it away as "goofah dust from Duane's grave" (hey, the only people more superstitious than baseball players are guitarplayers!), but for the past couple of years, relatives of Berry Oakley have been sitting on the hill above the graves and monitoring visitors. They actually tried to get the cemetery to erect an impassable fence around the graves. They were turned down.
The family's concerns? People were visiting the graves and drinking, getting high, having sex, etc...
Well, duh...
A lot of the legacy of the ABB is built on that whole free and easy "brother man thing", and I find it incredibly hypocritical of the family to disapprove of the fans' activities. I assume the family has no problem cashing royalty checks.

19. I remember when Berry's sister was starting that back in 96 or 97
wasn't it? She tried to get them to erect a fence around the graves to keep people out, and if I'm not mistaken, there was a park bench or two there that she was successful in getting taken out. Is the basin full of guitar picks still there??
