Barleywine taste test
Along with watching a few movies this was my major accomplishment for today

#1 2006 Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA 24%
strong hops start to finish. Light malt, mild alcohol afterbite.

#2 2004 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot 9.6%
Heavy malt flavor, light hoppiness. Stronger mouth feel than the DFH despite being lower alcohol. Traditional British style barleywine. No-low alcohol heat

#3 2005 Homebrew 21%
Light hop profile. Sweet flavor mild to low alcohol heat
This was supposed to be a clone of the DFH. The hop profile is similar but not as strong. A lot of people have told me it was too sweet but it seemed similar to the DFH but without the hoppiness to balance.

I would run up to the beer store and get another style but probably not a good idea at this point.
