Tell me, when does someday get here?
I am finding a real aversion to that word. It'll happen someday I'm told. But tomorrow never comes, and this elusive someday is just another undefined time beyond the horizon. I've got the patience of Job but it's wearing thin. It's not like I started this yesterday. I've been told that maybe my expectations are too high, that no one or nothing would be able to live up to them. Well I gotta tell ya that with each passing day those expectations are not only not lowered they are raised. My thinking is that well, I've waited this long, my reward for doing so must be more than worth the wait.

I hate the word someday.

Don't make me sing from "Annie." It's really not pretty. But, I will if you keep this up.

You laugh
as if you've heard me sing before.

Well, no matter how badly I sing, it's not nearly as bad as David Hasselhoff singing the "ooga chaka" song. And now, thanks to him, I am most definitely NOT hooked on a feeling. But, I guess you didn't need to know all of that seeing as how you're already upset and all. Anyway, thanks for the welcome. I'm not really sure what this lounge thingy is all about, but I'm testing the waters here.

11. In the great words of CCR...
Edited on Thu Aug-23-07 07:40 PM by skater314159
Me too... people have told me someday on sooo many different things. I'm still young, I'm tired of waiting for "someday" too... but I just keep hanging on and making my life the best that I can with what I've got. Keep the faith my friend.

"Someday Never Comes"

First thing I remember was askin papa, why? ,
For there were many things I didnt know.
And daddy always smiled; took me by the hand,
Sayin, someday youll understand.

Chorus:
Well, Im here to tell you now each and evry mothers son
You better learn it fast; you better learn it young,
cause, someday never comes.

Well, time and tears went by and I collected dust,
For there were many things I didnt know.
When daddy went away, he said, try to be a man,
And, someday youll understand.

Chorus

And then, one day in april, I wasnt even there,
For there were many things I didnt know.
A son was born to me; mama held his hand,
Sayin someday youll understand.

Chorus

Think it was september, the year I went away,
For there were many things I didnt know.
And I still see him standing, tryn to be a man;
I said, someday youll understand.

Chorus

Mmmm-mmmm-mmmm....

:hippie: Peace :smoke:

20. Yeah I know I'm not alone in feeling this way.
And I hate feeling like all of this is out of my control, as if there's some giant puppeteer pulling all the strings and deciding who gets what. I go to the store see a loaf of bread on the shelf and I buy it. I want life to be the same way.

25. This song helps me (Lennon YouTube)
I hate the concept of "someday" too

I stopped asking advice because they say someday it will all work out yada yada.

Since CCR song was mentioned upthread.

It's subtle and hes talking about his kid but the song that answers this question in my head.

favorite line.. "life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans"

Beautiful Boy

34. And it was wonderful
All our dreams came true. The youth miraculously matured and were granted voting rights, drivers licenses and were able to gamble and buy booze. All those long yearned for travels happened. Everything most of said we would do some day finally got done.

It was great.

Are you implying that you did not get the memo. **Who the hell was in charge of sending out the memos? Did you forget to include bushwentawol again?**
