1. You talking about my driveway?
23 years of driving on my dirt road, and I'm heartily sick of it.

3. probably my last trip to Kentucky, I usually manage to hit at
least one dirt road when I am there. Very rural area and I love to just take off on those back roads and pig paths and just drive. My sis and I will go out together and head off somewhere and just turn right at every intersection to see where we end up.

Most of the roads in the town that I lived in were dirt and gravel roads.

5 miles coming from the west, 2 miles coming from the east no choice - love em but they are hard on the brick-a-brack

it's one thing to take a leisurely drive in the country, another to need to come and go multiple times a day sometimes

Dumb shits. If they went straight for a few hours, they would GET SOMEWHERE, but NOOOOO, just gotta go in circles, pretending they are doing important shit and raising dust.

28. Well, there was that time,
I went down a LARGE hill made of very sandy gravelly soil. on a 4-door Datsun sedan.

Looking for a friend that was camping somewhere in the area. I went to the top of the hill to get a good view, and rather than back up to get down, went down the other side of the hill where the rain had carved a deep narrow ditch into the hill. I figured if I could straddle the ditch, I could get down to the bottom...

I guessed wrong....

The side of the ditch crumbled and the car fell sideways into the ditch, driver side down.

There I was, in the middle of nowhere, with the car laying on it's side, INSIDE a ditch...

I climbed out to survey the damage, and after a few moments realized there would be nobody to rescue me.

I climbed back into the car, started it, put it in first gear, and DROVE the car down the ditch on it's side for about 100 feet.

The ditch flared open near the bottom of the hill and the car eventually climbed out of the ditch and fell back on all four wheels.

The driver's side was all bright and shiny; it looked like a De Lorean.

But the driver's side mirror was gone.

Boy, it was hard explaining that to my dad...

You did WHAT!!!!!

36. Depends on the dirt road, of course.
In recent years, a lot of effort has been made to classify deer paths and 150 year old logging expeditions as "road."

those assholes around here who dig holes in their dirt roads to keep the riffraff out.

And I'm sometimes the riffraff who has to use those roads to get to work.

This was taken a couple of years ago. That was a fun day. It sure is a good way to get away from it all.
