my parents, both in their 70s, visited me this week.
One day we were sitting around, and I turned on the TV. I had Tivo'ed a comedy special I thought they'd enjoy.
It was Wanda Sykes. I'd never seen her standup - just seen her on talk shows.
Well...
while I thought she was funny as hell, she was also filthy as hell. Really really filthy. Now my folks aren't terribly uptight, but even *I* knew they weren't comfortable. After about 40 minutes, I asked if they'd like to watch something else. They were very quick to answer "yes".
Note to self: Tivo some "Everybody Loves Raymond" for the next time they visit.
