My wife is a big fan of that show (the one where they make you over to try and make you look 10 years younger)

So I thought I would toss this out tonight and ask folks how old my wife looks.

Will post her real age after 10 replies or so (trying to work on something on the porch, so if I miss some replies I want to cover myself)

13. It IS slow tonight
The wife is in bed and not feeling well, and I am watching a free movie online and trying to figure out how to put together a tiki bar I bought tonight.

We have a life, but on a Friday like this...Our daughter finished her first week of school (and has a friend spending the night), wife is in pain from her disease, and I am sitting here posting to while away the time.

Not much else to do for me but post here :)

18. Thanks my friend - was rough some tonight
Her right side locking up and such. I went to rite-aid to get her some muscle rub and found the tiki-bar at half off.

I just wanted her to feel good tomorrow when she saw this thread :) I did what I could for her, but when it comes down to it I guess I feel powerless over it all. It disturbs me in some ways. She is a good woman, but when her toes are curling up all I can do is rub them, when she aches all I can do is apply some heat rub and such.

I feel bad tonight, to be honest, because I could not do more to make it all better. You can't beat some things, but I suppose you can fight them and try to make life better.

It is all scary to us. We will be ok, just some nights - like tonight - I feel sad because no matter what I do I cannot fix it.

21. Thanks
Just been a hard day all around. I hate to see her sick like I did today.

And damned if I don't feel sucky because no matter how decent a person I am I cannot fix it all.

Rub her toes, give her some meds, and it still does not solve this hell.

It reminds me, if I may, of what I went through with my mom.

That feeling of being helpless. No matter what I did, or had done in my life, it did not matter in the end.

Sorry man, just letting it all out - sometimes it helps. I led a good life by most standards and yet - those I love are still suffering. No cure. No hope. Just deal with it. She deserves better than that, but damn that is all I got.

24. We both love Cincy - and newport KY
I grew up in Columbus, she in Bakersfield, CA.

We both fondly remember our trip to Cincy and Newport.

I had some job offers there this week, and we laughed about it all.

Cincy is one city I could live in (along with Chicago, NYC, and some west coast cities).

26. I thought early thirties
Yes, I read your post that she was 36. From what I have seen from pictures of my former high school and college friends and the people that live around here, she already looks as young or younger than some people 10 years younger. Some people age better than others. From people the people who I know in their thirties, this is a time where big differences emerge, with some looking "young" and some looking "old".
