Ok ok, I don't believe I'm going to post this but my wife dared me to. It's something she just made me put on youtube for her own use, but after it was done she dared me to put it on here. So alrighty then! LOL

It's a clip from our wedding video of me singing an original song I wrote for her when we were dating. Back then, I had promised to sing it to her at our wedding if we ever got married. Needless to say, she held me to that promise. Now please understand, I'm a songwriter and keyboard player, NOT a singer. Never sang a note in front of anyone in my life in fact, so it stands to reason that I was pretty terrified. She was nervous too. That's why in the video, we both look so tight and awkward: She's focusing so hard on not crying and not distracting me, while I'm concentrating so hard on her in an attempt to tune out the 200 people watchin me lol. It was terrifying for us both, but we got through it. I sound like a dying cow, but it's the music and lyrics that are my forte, not singing. I'm playing the keyboard in the background, that I had to record on tape for the DJ to play in the background.

So even though most of ya probably couldn't give a rat's ass about watchin it, my wife dared me and what can ya do.

That's the part that always got to me about the song is that you could barely even hear me (though to me, that's almost a good thing). I've never sung a note in my life so obviously had no idea how to hold a microphone, so in the end you could hear my keyboard playing but you could barely make out the lyrics at all. Guess I know for next time!

and heartfelt words I have ever heard in a romantic song -and I have heard my fair share of romantic songs over the years. You truly have a talented gift. I really think you should consider a professional songwriting career if you aren't already doing that

You are right, the audio was very soft on the YouTube tape. But I concentrated hard and was able to pick up quite a few of the lyrics and the gist of the song and your sentiments. There's also much that can be conveyed through body language and looks and perhaps I also picked up on that.

18. C'mon, Everything I Post Is Flamebait! LOL

Stace is doin pretty good. She was supposed to start her chemo on Thursday but got really sick on wednesday with a high fever so we had to cancel. Worked out well anyway cause when I picked my kids up from daycare that night they told me my oldest had a high fever as well and couldn't be brought in the next day, so if we hadn't already canceled then we wouldn't have known what to do with him!

But she's feeling better now and is in really good spirits. We start her chemo Monday so we're anxious to see how it will affect her. Hopefully it won't hit her too hard.

This week we have to go wig shopping and take care of all that stuff, but for now she's doing well. She's truly appreciated all of the good hearted concerns, caring and prayers that have come from everybody.
