My "MySpace" tribute to the victims of Katrina.
Edited on Sun Aug-26-07 01:15 AM by Madrone
It's been two years. I will never, ever forget the horror that unfolded as I didn't leave the house and sat watching for a full 3 days.

I hope to add stories, pictures, videos, etc over the next few days. The Fox News clip posted is classic, and one I remember watching in horror as it unfolded. A very important one to bring up for review ... for those that didn't see or don't remember the horror of what happened.

If anyone has anything they'd like to contribute let me know. I expect to get hit by some history revisionists blaming the victims and local government - so I'm looking to collect some good "live" news videos (like the Fox one posted), pictures, etc to post.

The page doesn't look that great period, but looks even less so in IE for those of you still using that POS. ;)

Let me know what you think.

edited to add: nothing in the blog is part of the Katrina tribute, so it's not relevant to the the rest of the theme.

1. Hi! I've got a youtube for you
The singer/songwriter is an old friend from college. Another Memphis performer put the slide show together. I can get the lyrics for you if you want to post them.

2. I love it, thanks!

I can't get YouTube vids to post to the myspace page though. :( I tried another one earlier, and it never showed up on my page. I'll happily accept assistance in that as well, if anyone has any ideas.

5. Got it!

Thank you so much! It was what I was looking for, something showing the human suffering that occurred during that time. I'm also on the lookout for an exceptional one about the abandoned animals left behind in New Orleans.

8. Good idea, thanks!

And now ... speaking of animals.... I suppose I'd better get off my arse and take care of my own. They are growing impatient and are well past due for their food and medications. :)

Thanks lizziegrace!

10. I read your post and you speak for me.
Most profound historical event in my lifetime, even more than 9/11. I will never, ever forget - and I'll never stop being angry.

11. Thank you.

I'll change it back to my "regular" profile in a couple of weeks ... but for now it's about Katrina.

Another friend! I'll go check it out! Thanks.
