Does anyone feel bad for the Earnhardt Jr fans with #8 tattoos?
Those poor folks memorialized their favorite driver by having his number permanently etched on their skin. And next year someone else will have that number.

Shame
Shame
Shame

2. He switched teams and his old team isn't giving him his old #
No one will ever drive #3 again, unless they want to incur the wrath of NASCAR nation.

8. Junior could drive the 3
IIRC when Junior was shopping for a new team earlier this year, Richard Childress was one of the people trying to hire him.

However, one of Junior's big complaints about DEI was that Earnhardt engines don't make enough horsepower, and Childress has long had the same problem.

3. I feel only joy at the sufferings of NASCAR fans
especially when said suffering comes because of their own ignorance.

9. Not to be nit picky but you have to admit that NASCAR does make cars safer
The car companies spend tons of money on it and it's bad PR when someone dies in one of their cars, so they go to great lengths figuring out how to make the cars safer and then apply that technology to the cars they sell on the streets.

10. I was talking about things like speeding, tailgating, bumping someone....
Edited on Sun Aug-26-07 08:19 AM by DaveTheWave
...etc. that NASCAR fans affectionately call "racing". Safer?

Rednecks get off on that shit and drive like that in real life so I guess we do need safer cars to protect us from those idiots and the cell phone drivers.
