I still keep it as a reminder. Of what I'm not certain, but there HAS TO be a lesson in there somewhere. One I believe I desperately need to learn.

I've been THAT CLOSE to being a multimillionaire. How close have YOU come?

1. I found 20 bucks in a bush one time.
I mean, that's only a few extra digits away from being rich... :)

3. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six...
I've never been close to winning anything, since I've never played...

I'm sorry you didn't win it, sweetie...

That had to be so damn frustrating, to be so close...

4. I won $100 in the Powerball last week.
That is the closest. But then I put 7 tickets on the then 200+ million jackpot and didn't win anything.

5. I always wondered...
If the powerball is 5 numbers plus one number and you guess 5 +1...

do you have just as much chance guessing a lottery from the past as you do from the future?

:hi:

7. I have NO idea how it works.
I have a spare buck, I buy a ticket. I lose. I try again.

Pretty simple, and I don't have to calculate a single odd.

6. I was at the grocery, buying enough food to last me a couple of days and wondering
to myself how I was going to pay rent that month. My landlord was a cool guy so I figured I could talk to him and he'd be okay waiting a week, but of course that would still leaving me scrambling to make the next month.

Well, the groceries I bought ended up being more on sale than I thought and I had three extra bucks. I took one and put it into a scratch-off machine. I scratched it off in the store and won the exact amount of my rent. It was the weirdest thing. Any more and I would've had to report it, so it was perfect. I went right to customer service, got the money, walked home, knocked on my landlord's door (he lived upstairs), and gave him the cash.

Didn't make me a millionaire but it sure was cool.

8. Wow. You obviously had some good karma on your side.
Every once in a while, dumb luck simply happens. When it does, don't ask questions. Just run with it.

11. Yeah, that really felt like some kind of help from the universe. Not any more than
I absolutely needed but enough to help me out of a jam.

I hope sometime soon you won't be one number off but you'll be right on the money! :hi:

9. The state lottery had a huge jackpot
I was feeling lucky but I did not stand in line for a ticket. Instead, I went home and lifted the cap of the gatorade bottle. It it matched the NBA team that won the championship in the number of games they won. This entitled me to a bunch of free gatorade stuff valued at over $100.
When I was little though, in the early days of the Ohio lottery (only 40 numbers), I guessed 5 out of 6 numbers for my mother's boyfriend.
