Why did gonzales resign...

I have the answer.

"U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam said the resignation of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales today will help the White House and the Justice Department to move forward with their programs without distraction."

And that is EXACTLY the reason, Gonzales is bringing too much heat, the bush admin is hoping that by removing a few people, or more likely getting them out of the spotlight, they will be free to go on about their business without obstruction.

At least that is my opinion.
