2. there really is a Hamm's beer
It was one of the dominant beers from the upper midwest for years, especially in the 60's and 70's. It is still around.

Wry=rye Ham on rye...

It sent lesser boys on a path of sobriety….but my inner fortitude said just suck it up and move on…where upon I discovered Country Club….and moved on….x(

20. I've often wondered about that jingle...
Why put the adjective after the noun, unless it was to accommodate the music. Try it the other way around!

Hamm's, the refreshing beer

It just doesn't work, like moving your arms with the same-sided legs (left arm with left leg/right arm with right leg) while walking.

Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 04:53 PM by chiburb
And it sounded better this way...

"From the Land of Sky Blue Waters (Waters),
From the land of pines, lofty balsam,
Comes the beer refreshing,
Hamm's the Beer Refreshing".
(da-da-dum-dum-dum)

I used to think it was saying "Ham's is the payment." Which would kinda be appropriate for a politician, no? ;) :D
