Aughh! My big kids are in so. much. trouble.
They took JackMN's new tricycle and hotwheels out of our garage (which they are not supposed to do) and left them out in the yard (which they are also not supposed to do). As a result, both of his "bikes" were stolen, overnight.

I would like to punch whomever stole Jack's bikes, but I'm RAGINGLY pissed at Noel and Sophie, as well.

They're both grounded for the rest of summer, and they have to use their own money to buy Jack a new tricycle.

1. um - it's August 28th
- summer's over in less than a week -

:hide:

Seriously though - that sucks. Who'd steal a kids damn tricycle?!?!?

Your punishment of having them buy Jack a new one out of their money is spot on! Consequence fits the "crime".

 for you

and   for Jack!

2. And they can spend their last week off inside, cleaning the house.
Noel just watched a friend get turned away at the door, because he can't play.

I don't know what kind of fucker steals TWO little bikes. Probably the same type who stole my groceries out of my car, stole Noel's bike at our old address, or the one who TRIED to steal his skateboard (we caught that little shit and marched over to his parents' house.)

*sigh*

10. Not a bad idea.
Otherwise, no one who might happen across them would know where they belong...

11. Summer is over Sept. 22.
Around here it is still summery weather until October even though school is in session.

3. That sucks!!!
Stealing a kid's bikes. :grr: :grr: :grr:

And good for you for grounding Noel and Sophie. Bet they won't do that again, especially since they have to replace the bikes using their own money.

5. They'd better not do it again!
We've reminded them a million times not to leave their bikes out. Of course, they managed to put their own away, but not Jack's. It just burns me.

6. Some people just suck.
It also reminds me that I should have put Jack's name on his bikes. They might very well get abandoned somewhere.

7. I've done some horrible things in my youth
but I never stole a kid's bike. :wtf:

Still, lock them up and talk a walk down both sides of the street, chances are you'll find it/them in a bush or ditch

9. No kidding.
I already searched the immediate neighborhood, but maybe I'll wander around a bit (after I get Noel set up to scrape wallpaper in the bathroom.) }(
