4. You are failing to understand that the joke hinges on one of the most prominent features...

of Calvinist theology, that of predestination at God's choosing and man being unable (and probably unwilling) to "find" Jesus. Orthodoxy does not subscribe to such a salvation schema.

My joke sythesizes the Russian reversal with a renunciation of Arminian thought, which claims that humans are capable of initiating their relationship with God.

It's a complex concept and I'm not sure that most people would get jokes based on Calvinism for that reason.
