since "Dark Rivers of the Heart" that I noticed. Even in Mr. Murder, when the hero changes his name to John Gault, made me think he was into Randian BS. As much money as he has probably made and he's bound to be a little bit economically conservative. He's very much into guns too, at least in his books.

Or were those donations recent? I can only find one on Newsmeat.com for $250 in '96 (while she was still married to Jack Ryan.)

As she's from Texas. (Not bashing any Texan DU-ers)
Hmm... The Clark mum and daughter, I'll talk their ear off. They need to fucking study Irish history and the potato famine (in those days, the British refused to give food to the Irish, only if they converted to Protestantism (even now the Catholics call anyone with a Catholic last name but a practicing Protestant "soupers"). They were prominently featured in the magazine World of Hiberna as successful Irish Americans. EDIT: Mary's father was an Irish Immigrant... no doubt he was affected by the Famine. When the Great Depression hit, he wanted to help the poor by giving them food from the family pub (which eventually made them broke).
I'm completely surprised with Patricia Cornwell (loved her book about Jack the Ripper). She's a married lesbian (who lives in MA) who's traveled the world. Are you SURE she's Republican? .......
EEEWWWWW..... according to Wiki: "She befriended George W. Bush...."
Ugh ugh ugh.I'm sure it's due to her troubled past (she suffered anorexia and drug abuse, I'm certain she turned to religion sometime afterwards). Let's hope something changes her ASAP.
