Is this worthy of being called a joke ?
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 02:25 AM by moof
chimp & pickles are walking along the beach one day when they notice a strange looking metal object half buried in the sand, Curious george pickes it up & starts brushing the sand off it when a genie appears in a mushroom cloud. george turns and starts to run away but the Genie calls out to him that he has nothing to fear & that the Genie will grant him three wishes. george cautiously steps toward the Genie with an odd look on his face, you mean I can have any three wishes I ask for come true ? The genie assures him that indeed all he has to do is ask. after a long pause george says I wnat you to make me a god. The genie looks puzzled and asks "you want to be Carl Rove "? No, no. no georgie says, I want to be the god, you know, the one in the bible that is all powerful and everyone loves and fears. The genie thinks a second and asks george if he is sure that is what he wants. george getting excited says yes, yes, I want to have his job, I want to be the god that made everything and controls everything. The genie then waves his hand and george disappears. The Genie tells pickles goodbye but she protests, what happened to george, is he god now, has the rapture started , what just happened here. The genie says " george was granted his wish now he is the same as the god from the bible, he doesn't exist.

What do you think would be a good title for the story ?
So far these seem promising,

bush grants the world a wish
bush grants the world's wish

bush and the rapture

messiah complex
messiah simplex
