The Document Your Bike Ride Project. Take One. Some dial-up killing inside
Strap a Canon 300D to your handlebars with a Gorillapod, ride. Take photos every few seconds.

And you end up with this (the dialup kill part - flash movie)

give the movie about a minute to load if you're on cable/dsl, it'll show up

1. I tried something like that
I have a mini tripod with a velcro strap. So I tied my camera on the handle bars and filmed a couple kilometers in video mode. Despite the padding on the bars, there was still a lot of shaking. At least with digital, you're not throwing away film.

2. Wow, I'm dizzy now!
that was interesting...a bit choppy, but I get the gist of what you were trying to do. Cool!

Between my cyclometer, my front carrying bag and my little bell, I've got so much shit on my handlebars, there's no way I could fit anything else on.

I usually just carry along my digital camera in my jersey pocket and take occasional shots.

3. agreed
this was the first run, i definitely need to take shots about three times more often, which would result in about 1000 frames, that was 318 you just burned through believe it or not

5. Pretty cool
I had a strong urge to knock you off the bike and steal it. Too bad it's not interactive.

6. On the road, that's pretty cool.
I'd love to do that, but first drop I take/first log I hop on Sugar, that camera is either left behind on the trail, or pointing at the front tire.

The pics are really good, though.
