Did anyone else watch ALL the credits for The Simpsons Movie? |
|
SonOfGoG the Younger and I sat through the entire list, though everyone else cleared the theater as soon as they'd begun.
They all missed hearing Maggie's first word! HAha!!!

1. Actually, it's Maggie's Second Word. |
|
She said her first word, after she shot Monty Burns.
Yes, I am a nerd.
What did she say in the movie?

2. Maggie's first word was 'daddy'. |
|
Elizabeth Taylor was the voice of Maggie in an episode where Homer and Marge were worried that she would never talk.

Either way, she sounded suspiciously like James Earl Jones.... hmmmmm

10. It was her third word - |
|
Elizabeth Taylor voiced a word very early on in the show, and then she spoke again after shooting Burns.

12. I wonder why they said it was her first in the movie? |
|
Maybe they never listened to her before?

4. The Girardian dynamics in that movie were so strong, |
|
I had trouble watching it. I had to keep reminding myself it was a comedy--and a cartoon!! I skedaddled as soon as it was over.
I've probably been reading too much Girard. I'm becoming both jaded and suspicious.

|
but then he started watching. I think he might not have seen the end before!

11. FUCK! My kids dragged me out of the theater kicking and screaming. DAMN! |
|
I managed to stay to see the Burns & Smithers and Tom Hanks gags. When the leters started scrolling I gave in and went along with the herd.

14. I was hoping there'd be some jokes... |
|
like they always have in the Halloween specials' credits. It was still worth the waith, though.

I usually only stay for the credits just in case there's something added on.
