I've gotten some pretty good bargains...

Concerts "in the park" - free concerts, with varying quality, but usually pretty good
Concerts at the local Musician's Union (AFM) hall - nominal price ($10 to $15) and top-notch, professional-level musicians and singers performing classic songs
DVDs from the public library - free for one week, and a surprisngly wide selection
Berry Smoothie at Costco food court - $1.35 and better than any $4 frappucino at Starbucks
State parks - less crowded and more tranquil than national parks, if not as spectacular or unique scenery, still beautiful
