Has anyone participated in the National Geographic Genographic Project?
It's the one that was featured on Colbert's show. You send in a sample of your DNA (cheek swab) and they tell you where your distant ancestors lived.

I was just curious if anyone has actually done this and if it's worth the $100?

2. Something similar
Here's one I looked into. There are others out there if you Google. I'm curious, but I keep thinking about the coming hard times and the hundred buck fee. But that's just my frugality.

They also have discussion forums you can read through.
