I have recently revised my list of top ten films. "Ed Wood" starring Johnny Depp and Martin Landau, has risen to within the top 5. I think I love this film because it is a metafilm -- a film about film. It is also a film about making art. As I try to write my collection of short stories and my novel, "Ed Wood" tells me that no matter how bad the stuff you are producing is, you have to keep at it. I don't think I'm as bad as Ed Wood, but the film is very beautiful and inspiring.
