1. Are you looking for a companion?
I could use a little vacation and the TARDIS is sounding pretty good right now.

3. I am good to go
The nice thing about time (and space) travel is that there is no packing involved. One wears the same outfit for...well, I guess literally thousands of years. I would think the Galifreyan grundies tend to get a mite gamey.

4. Call me after the 7th, 8th, and/or 9th regeneration.

I know you're not in love with the new series, but Peter Davison is guest starring in series 4.

And David Tennant is leaving.

5. I plan to buy series 3 the day it comes out on DVD; at midnight even.
Seriously. Series 3 is such a refreshing venture after series 1 (drivel plus deliciously revamped Daleks) and the atrocious series 2 (more soap opera garbage, Rose is worse, the linking theme isn't given any credibility, but at least more stories had potential...)

No, series 3 truly stands with the best of them IMHO. "Human Nature" is what won me over for good, but series 3 to that point (stupid Rose reflection scenes aside) really jumped by leaps and bounds.

That's cool Davison is guesting in an episode.

I hope Helen Raynor writes another story...

I'd be way cool if Tanith Lee wrote one as well...

Pity about Tennant's leaving...

6. I skipped season two . . .
Mostly except for probably a few episodes. . . . but it never fully kept me. .
But I just fell in love with Season three. . . .

I still liked Series one though . . . but three beats it.

Ah I see Raynor did the Dalek episodes for Series 3. . .

7. :)
The Dalek story might have been better without the Daleks, but at least they were treated like a serious menace... but there was enough charm in her script to keep me hooked...

10. I liked it. . .
But I guess I have to admit I have a soft spot for Daleks (Why, I just don't know . . .)

However, the Series 1 Dalek episode would've been better if it invovled the FRENCH DALEK!!!

12. Gratuitous waste of Daleks, imho.
I loved the Hooverville backstory, but the Dalek pigmen were ridiculous. Why does a Dalek need a pig man?

14. Genetic experimentation...
The Daleks have experimented on life forms before... but how DNA can be transferred via a lightning strike (which was first said to be gamma radiation, and the two terms intermixed for some reason) seemed to boggle me more...

But maybe I need to rewatch those episodes on my iPod tonight.

9. I adore Martha so much more than Rose.
I can't imagine Rose wandering the earth for a year, that's for sure. However, I still love Series 1 and 2 (and Rose) - a lot.

But I can't believe they're exiling Martha to Torchwood (which I also love - to make fun of). But at least she'll be back for the last third of Series 4, when 10 regenerates.

I really dislike Catherine Tate.

17. I kind of liked Torchwood.
And I swear, my opinion was not at all influenced by the fact that John Barrowman is in it... :) Mmm... Captain Jack Harkness...

Too bad it'd never get shown on TV here... at least 5 same-sex kisses that I can recall offhand in the 13 episodes of the first season. The fundies would go berserk.

18. Oh, I really like Torchwood. (And it's going to be on BBC America)
Torchwood is a show like the Lounge. It has moments of brilliance, but is generally just smutty fun.

You're right about the fundies, though Torchwood is starting on BBC America soon. It's also going to be on US DVD in January.

19. Ah yes. Good, wholesome non-gender-specific smutty fun. :)
Is there a single main character in that show that's entirely straight? Jack is the first pansexual character I've ever seen on TV, Owen's willing to switch sides if the situation warrants it, Gwen and Tosh both end up making out with another woman at one point or another, and even Ianto is more than willing to switch sides for the right guy. (And I sure as hell can't blame him, I would too)

Unfortunately I only have basic cable, no BBC America for me. :( DVDs sound good though.

..its not started yet (on BBCA), nor are the DVDs available yet (so far as I know). Maybe you commute to Britain? Just curious.

As does every US viewer of Torchwood. Not a one of us would ever view Torchwood on the internet.

That's just wrong.

To use those links would be bad, and the poster was in no way suggesting or condoning using them.

Boy, now I sound like one of the labels on a prohibition-era malt container. :)

He was the Doctor in the 80s. He's at least 50 by now.

28. You can also see him in "All Creatures Great and Small"
the BBC/PBS series from the 70s/80's about Dr James Harriot, the vet who wrote all those books. Peter plays much more of a "bad boy" in that series.
