1. I'll join you in this one, dwickham...

LOTR ROTK is my absolute favorite movie and am thrilled to see them get so many nominations.

I do wonder why none of the actors got nominated, but then that happened at the Globes and it still won Best Picture, so maybe it is a good thing!

2. No Nicole?

I was suprised by that one and that "Cole Mountain" wasn't nominated.

And poor Tom Cruise :eyes::eyes::eyes: .... didn't get nominated. Pity. :toast:

5. I,for one, am glad neither Tom or Nicole got nominated.

There is so much focus on those 2 and their movies have not done that well at the box office. But we all know they will both show up and walk that red carpet.

She won last year and will present the Best Actor award. I'm so glad Tom isn't nominated, ET and that Mary Hart :puke: would be just falling over themselves about the possibilty.

3. At first glance, a pretty mixed bag

After all the great performances from Johnny Depp that were not nominated, his performance in this trifle gets nominated? And at the expense (apparently) of Russell Crowe.

There seem to be other oddities as well but I'm behind at work so will have to think about it later :-)

Cold Mountain--hated it--needed a double dose of Prozac to make it through the movie

LOTR--should win every award out there

Nemo--should have been nominated for best picture but it's a lock for best animated

9. Cold Mountain was a well-made and acted movie

a power love story that stis the heart and the mind in my opinion. It should've been in the top 5. Love that my man Johnny Depp got a nod, what a cutie!! Mystic River should win every award out there.
