1. Nobody else watched the old horror flicks on WOR on Saturdays?
That creepy six-fingered hand was an important part of my childhood!

5. My mistake, Chiller was on WPIX channel 11 out of New York, not WOR channel 9.

3. Very cool!
I wonder how many of our childhood horror hosts (or horror bumpers, in my case) are on youtube? I should start a separate thread for this. It could be interesting.

4. In Virginia in the seventies, we had the Bowman Body.
He wore the requisite black-and-white make-up and a cape, but accessorized with a Band-Aid and tennis shoes. He also strummed a uke on occasion. Here he is in 2006:

6. Locally, in northeastern Pennsylvania
we had Uncle Ted as a late-night horror-schlock host. He was a guy who owned a magic shop, and all he really did was wear a red fez and do some lame magic tricks during commercial breaks. I checked youtube, he's not there. In the early to mid-70s we got the New York channels on cable out here in the sticks, so I got to see Chiller and Creature Feature. :)
