What is "Twee Pop"?

1. Is it Twee Pop or Tween Pop, tween is teen and pre-teen.

2. Twee pop is indie pop with bright music (jangly guitars, snappy drums)...

and an often childlike, innocent lyrical content.

Similar subgenres: Jangle pop, indie pop, chamber pop, dream pop

Examples: Belle & Sebastian, The Field Mice, etc.

On edit: Also, contrary to the above post, it's generally not marketed to tweens, but to college-age young adults. (Especially ones who write in diaries and cry themselves to sleep at night.)

3. Twee itself mean overly precious or nice

as in "Paul McCartney's ineffably twee 'When I'm 64'".
