Strange things your dog or cat eat?
Our cat, Cider, loves canned mushrooms. I have no idea why. If we put some into the strainer he'll work his way onto the sink and snatch one, run under the desk with it, and happily chomp it.

Our dog, Misty, loves pretty much anything we eat. Bananas, toast, pears.

What about your kits and pups?

1. Poo, among other things...
:puke: Our dog Vicki is a poo hound. She'll roll in it and eat it. Our dog Casey does NOT, thankfully.

Other "normal" stuff would be pizza (they both love it), cotton candy, and jelly beans. :P

2. Percy eats bugs
whatever he can catch in the house :puke:

I can't think right now what I've gotten them to eat besides catfood, but I'll try to remember to give them a mushroom next time I open some!

5. My cat, Isis loves all manner of potatoes.
Edited on Fri Aug-31-07 03:45 PM by alphafemale
Baked, mashed & french fried...but especially potato chips.

She can hear the crinkle of a chip bag from the furthest corner of the house.

She's actually an embarrassment when it comes to potato chips. She'll gloam on to anyone with chips at hand.

12. Mine isn't as fussy
Brianna Kitty loves cheese in every way, shape or form. She has a special fondness for feta cheese (like my wife)!

Pippy, on the other hand, loves her crunchies, with the occasional treat of tuna or chicken.

including cheap dog food (which makes her retch.) She would rather have a tortilla chip than a piece of meat.

The dogs are dogs. They will eat just about anthing. In fact I can't think of anything they won't eat...raw potato peels I guess...

16. She loves catching jumping or flying insects and eating them....
Oh...and we caught her eating a turd yesterday. Apparently she had went behind the chair without us noticing and right after she had her half can of dog food for dinner, she was eating her own turd. I will never understand this.

22. I had a cantaloupe-eating cat
The same cat liked banana milkshakes, bananas, in fact most soft fruits.

The first tortie we had liked biscuits. She especially liked jumping on the table to take them out of the serving bowl.

Not a food-related item, but we once had a tomcat named Pinky. My parents came down to visit one year, and all the time my mom was eating Pinky was sitting there staring at her. Mom's freaking out, naturally. "Why is he DOING that?" Well, mom, it's because you're in his seat. That's where he slept before he learned how to jump onto the door.
