I'd like small and cheap, but I get those from my Nokia and it's neither fugly nor eating throwaway batteries.
And I don't think I could remember numbers if I couldn't store them.
But it's a nice answer to all the phone/camera/intertubes/salad shooter dealies they sell these days.

a cell phone just being a cellphone. I wanted to buy a jitterbug because it has big numbers, no extra features and emits an old fashioned dialtone when flipped open. But I found out that you have to buy their phone service too. I am currently looking for a simple cellphone with no bells and whistles and cameras with big buttons that is easy to use for an elderly person -- they do not really exist... unless you buy one that will make them feel totally retarded because it has three buttons and is big as a banana.
