Forecasters say up to a foot could fall in some areas Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has posted a winter storm warning for virtually all of southern New England.

Clouds will thicken throughout the day, and the snow will arrive in force Tuesday night. Heavy bands of snow are expected in many areas during the night.

Northern sections of the region will receive less snow, with accumulations ranging from 5 to 10 inches.

1. I am so damn sick of winter

This is our second winter on the Cape, and all we heard was that it would be so much milder here than where we were in upstate NY. This is our second crappy winter in a row.

Thankfully we're off to a warmer place the second week of March...

3. Boats getting stuck in the water

The ferry to Nantucket isn't running because the ice is so thick. I guess they are running low on oil and food.
