OK. We've all seen those FBI warnings on DVDs. But what if
you get them on Tivo, save them to hard drives and/or then burn them?

That is, the warning doesn't appear, for one thing. Plus the movies aren't encrypted, either.

So what's the law on amassing lots of movies this way (the way I used to do w/ video tapes from AMC, TCM, IFC, etc.)? Given digital copying quality, you'd think studios would have something to say about this. It seems far easier to do than the cracking, copying thing.
