Why do parties and concerts get really good right at the very end?
You know what I mean - a party in its early stages is kind of formal and boring, but towards the end it turns really fun. And it's not just the "magic of alcohol," it's something about the way a party evolves. With concerts, the band goes through its song playlist and the audience cheers dutifully, but it often seems like a recital - but the last couple of songs are when the band really comes alive, and then suddenly it's over, just as the "good part" gets started. What's going on here?

4. Sometimes at a party if an "event" or unexpected funny thing happens,
that sort of "breaks the ice" and from then on, the party becomes fun, simply because the stuffy formality is gone, or the unexpected "event" becomes kind of a bonding factor. After the "event" you sort of "know" these people, even if you didn't know them before because you and them have "been through" something, even if it's as trivial as a vase falling and breaking or whatever.

5. Allow me to revise some if I may based on last night
Was out with the wife and it was so-so, a lot of young college kids at the bar and such in the smoking room (And yeah, we have them here in CA if you can believe that).

We met another couple later on though, really awesome people (She was a school teacher and he had just taken his next to last test for his CPA) and it was getting fun chatting with them as the night wore on. But alas, it was finally time to go.

I think the first part you are getting to feel your way around, and then once you get comfy it is closing time of the people have to go for whatever reason.

Soon as you get your feet wet and then learn to start swimming, it is time to get out of the pool :)

6. Doesn't it make you wish you had been having that kind of fun from the beginning?

7. Yes indeed, but when a stranger in a place, takes some time to scope it all out
Some people there were having a blast from the get go. The wife and I don't go out much, so we did not know anyone.

If you are ever out here in Bakersfield, maybe we can head out and get a party started early :)
