Someone in my building is blaring polka.

It's the same song, over and over, and all I can hear is the low notes. It sounds like it's being played on a crappy synthesizer or an organ. I haven't heard anything this obnoxious since my neighbors used to get loaded and blare klezmer all night. Don't get me wrong. I like klezmer and I'll gladly polka the night away, but... the same four bars over and over... gaahhh...

I want to pelt them with cabbage.

7. I grew up with listening to polka music.

Across the highway was a dance hall that had polka dances on weekends, and when the wind was right it was polka all night long.

My grandparents were great polka dancers, even in old age.
