Pet Pics?!
Edited on Sun Sep-02-07 08:19 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
I took this this morning. I thought it was so cute. Pru always takes up my side of the bed. I might as well just start sleeping in the chair or on the floor.

Do you have anything recent?

6. This is my cat Bootsy
He has a fetish for socks. When he finds himself alone upstairs, he starts howling, goes to the laundry basket and brings down a sock to drop at my feet.

7. Meet Thomas...
Thomas is a cat with issues. We adopted him when some friends of ours emigrated to Australia. I should have thought twice when his previous owner told me that when they went to the shelter to look at cats, Thomas was 'hanging upside down' in his cage. He's that weird. He likes to roll around on the floor with shoes, so I call him Tommy Shoes (that's his mafia name). He also likes to head butt you in the middle of the night. This pic was taken after he was sitting on this chair for about 20 minutes. He stayed there for another half hour or so after the picture was taken. Don't know why....

So, without further ado, here's Tommy Shoes:

He's very vocal, and fully embodies the truism that 'dogs have masters, cats have staff'

11. Tommy Shoes is a unique individual...
I have a cat nicknamed "Sammy Two-Toes" because he's completely black except for two white toes on one of his hind legs.

13. Three here.
I've posted these before but...

First, the queen of the roost, Ms. Snotpot. Snotty for short:

Every night when it's bedtime, she is on the floor or in her box when I go up the steps into the loft where our bedroom is. As soon as she hears me coming, she starts meowing loudly. As soon as I'm in the bed, she's right up there cuddly against me to get rubbed and scratched. It's the nightly ritual. You should hear her if I go up there in the middle of the day for something! She starts meowing and won't quit until I either get in the bed or go back downstairs. :eyes:

These are the yard guards and pretty puppies. First one is Babe and the second is Jesse. Both are drop off dogs that someone brought out here to the boonies to be rid of.

33. Greys can be very cheeky, especially if raised around people.
Mine's shy around strangers, but she blathers away when she thinks she's alone. :D

36. All three are vocal, but they don't have a grey's language skills
Gnocchi (the conure) says maybe 10 or 12 things including "Good Morning", "I love you" and "wanna come out".

The Maxi (Bialy) is a very good talker, perhaps at Amazon level with even better sound mimicry. He has my cell phone ring down cold.

The tiel was only visiting for 10 days, but he can say "Hello" pretty clearly and whistle many tunes.

35. My baby

We adopted Miley in May. She was basically wild. She is 4 and was at a mill. When we picked her up she ran from people, open the door and she bolted for it. It has taken some time but now I walk her in the back yard and if I head to the door she is right there. I don't need a leash she will not get out of eye shot before she is hunting me down. I didn't think she was going to work out for us but she has done a 180. She is turning into a pet and it is wonderful. She has put on about 2 lbs that brought her to about 9.5 lbs. It has been remarkable watching her go from scared to death of people to trusting at least us for the first time.
