2. I take it that you're a sophomore ?
I remember my junior was the longest year ever.

But enjoy high school while you can - those memories last forever. Its been 9 years since I graduated and I can't believe the life I have lived since I graduated in 1998.I got a box of chocalates with my diploma,I had no idea the road I was going to take. All I can say is WOW.

And I wish the same for you. Right now you are screaming two more years ... two more years but you are standing at the train station bags packed enduring two more years of HS before you board the train of life. You might think that you have all the stops planned out but you don't. Trust me ... Its going to be so good :)

If I read your post wrong don't mind me ... I am just hyper on life right now :) :bounce: :hi:

4. Hehe, I'm a junior this upcoming year (starting Tuesday...groan!)
Pre-Calc, AP Latin, Chemistry, AP US History, senior English, band.

Ahhhhhh, nooooooooo!

:)

I hope it gets better. This is silly busywork half the time. I feel like I could already be doing something else, but I've no idea what. Oh well. At least some of mi amigos are entertaining and diverting!

:hi:

7. OOH my bad lol.
I seriously think that more and more kids are going to totally BURN OUT by the time they have to enroll in college because the courseload and testing that is done. Like I said I graduated in 1998 and I look at some of the things that high schoolers have to do now and I shake my head. My junior and senior year in high school was harder than my freshman year in college. And I was a Political Science major. I "burned out" and did'nt know it until I found myself having a nervous breakdown though. My friend at Duke did the same - only thing is I took myself out of school and went to Germany to take a break and went to school there and enjoyed it :)Now I am back in college this upcoming spring semester 2008.I had to live and take my time before I spent money on college. And I think I made the best decision.

My advice to you : HAVE FUN WHILE YOU CAN ! Seriously , have some fun while you're in high school with zero responsibilities. If you don't have fun you will crack. HAVE FUN I SAY !

My birthday is September 13th. I was four for a week or two at the beginning of kindergarten.

3. It's a fucking joke, isn't it?
The teachers don't even really expect you to remember the stuff you learned last year, so how the hell is it learning? Are they just keeping us busy until we're somehow considered ready to enter the world full of people who will never need to know a single damn thing about parabolas or Beowulf or the internal organs of frogs?

11. I just found it flat and boring, though I suppose that was the whole point.
My teacher had us writing on comparing flat, rounded, and tragic heros for weeks.

18. I didn't mind writing papers, mostly beause an earlier, incompetent English teacher
prepped me to be a great bullshit artist when it comes to finding "intellectual" things. I could always just start to philosophize at length if needed.

19. No, mostly they'll drive me to even more foolish extremes.
I'm remarkably trouble-free in school, except for the occasional incident of letting my tongue run on. Fortunately, I'm usually blessed (?) with teachers either hip and cool with it or too numb to realize what's going on.

31. Yeah... public school sucks.
Then again, most school sucks.

Hell, I'm still of the opinion that if I'd been allowed to skip school and find a job for my last two years there, but still get into college, my life would be twenty times better than it is now. Because I didn't learn a damn thing in high school, and at least I could have spent those two years saving up for college so I wouldn't have to worry about money once I got there.
