I saw that in high school. I also remember going to school on the following Monday and everyone was raving about Uriah Heep's performance on the same episode. And they all hated the Dolls. Idiots.

I watch that clip religiously. New York Dolls were the high water mark of the genre simply known as rock-n-roll IMO. Bands before them were a bit tame for my taste, and bands after them played 'punk' or 'metal'.
