Any fans of Batman: The Animated Series out there?
A friend lent me the first three DVD volumes, and I'm astonished at the artistry of these programs. 75+ episodes, and there weren't any more than five stinkers in the bunch. The surprising thing is that the best episodes didn't center around the first tier villains, but on the mobsters or second rate baddies (Clayface, Clock King, Scarface, etc.).

Oh yeah, and Kevin Conroy IS Batman.

1. Right here!
And the sequel, "Batman Beyond."

Mark Hamill OWNED that show as the Joker.

4. Agreed.
I can usually pick out a familiar voice even if they're doing something completely different with it within about 30 seconds of hearing it. I watched that show for about two or three years before I finally noticed his name in the credits. And when I was a kid, I'd watch Star Wars at least once a week.

So not only did he slip by me completely unnoticed then... but a few years later I was watching Justice League and I saw his name in the credits again. I didn't give it much thought, turned off the TV and got up to walk away. Suddenly I realized... "Wait a minute. Joker wasn't in that episode." So I had to go online and look it up... sure enough, he does the voice of Solomon Grundy too. He snuck by me TWICE. :)

5. The first of the great animated series IMHO
The first to take that "Neo Noir" style and use it in television. It was a graphic novel for kids produced into a weekly television series.

7. And the episode with the different styles was great.
Especially adding the Frank Miller Batman.

6. I watched it everyday, as a kid.
It's an amazingly well-written show. I see on Amazon that it's out on DVD and I think I'll order it.
