Any suggestions for decent computer speakers? |
I don't want to spend a ton, since they'd be for my office, which is pretty small, but I do need decent sound quality that works well with a mac.
Or am I better off getting another docking thing for my ipod instead?

1. I like my Logitech Z4 system. |
It wasn't expensive at all.
Besides, you can USB "dock" your iPod into your system if you want to listen to what's on that as well.

2. That's my other option- plugging my ipod into the computer |
I get to listen to whatever obnoxious noise I want- one of the upsides of having my very own office. With walls and a door, not a cube. Yay me. :D

4. I have a great set of Harman-Kardon speakers. |
Subwoofer and two desktop speakers. I got them for $25 from my computer teacher in high-school (so they're about four to five years old...still work great). I don't know how much they'd cost retail, but those plus an iPod dock make for a really good sound system (albeit somewhat jury-rigged with a headphone splitter).

8. Steve Wozniak is a good speaker |
I heard him at a computer conference last year. He signed my original 1984 Macintosh.

9. Go to a PC Recycle or used store. Bring the iPod. |
Try out some used speakers. The technology for speakers really doesn't change very often, and any speaker that plugs into a headphone size port will work. You could get good speakers for a steal, or maybe not, but as long as you've checked them and they're not blown or soaked, speakers don't really break or get old. why pay more than you have to?

10. I'm partial to the Klipsch Ultra 2.0 Pro Speakers |
I bought them back in 2005, before I got my Mac. $90 from Amazon, $100 at the Apple Store which is where I bought mine.
