This was our 7th annual camping trip with three other neighbor families down to Big Sur, with all the kids. A great time was had by all, but it was definitely the hottest year down there, by far. It was in the upper 80's all weekend long. Unusual for that area, but we loved it! :hi:

7. Yes, the kids actually cooked some up and ate 'em. Mostly out of curiosity.

I'd never eaten one before, but I said I'd try anything once, so I tried some, dipped in melted butter. Reminded me of lobster. I'm not a big shellfish fan.

Nothing like a good crawdad boil...

Boil em in water with a lot of cayenne, onions, garlic, and Tony Chachere's, Throw in some whole onions, corn, and potatoes, and a lemon or two. Yumm!

Thanks Shine. We are all very pleased with the pictures. The tough part is choosing and luckily the photographer gave me a grace period since I live in NY so I have a couple more weeks to choose and he will send the prints with Malta Mom in October.

A friend suggested we all wear white. That turned out to be a nice idea and Little MB, she had soooo much fun hamming it up for the camera.
