11. That sounds like fun!
And a pirate theme could be very educational, too. You could study economics, politics, weather and ocean patterns, tying knots, boat and materials construction (ok, ok, now I'm going overboard... :-) )

14. Actually, he did study pirates last year...
He wasn't wild about the "Gods of Greece" unit that came with the curriculum. I didn't see any point in belaboring the issue, and possibly making him hate a really cool subject; so I let him study about pirates. This year I've ordered a cd rom course on Ancient Greece for him. Since he enjoys the computer so much, I'm hoping it'll kindle an interest in mythology. We'll see... :hi:

16. I'll be runnin' from starboard to larbord, from stem to stern, wavin' me cutlass
and ravishing the ladyfolk!

From the gundeck to the bilges, from the poop deck to the fo'c'sle, drinking the rum and chasing the petticoats!

I might even grab a dinghy, a cox'un, and a couple of seamen and go stroking for a while!

Arrrr...
