1. I think dancing on his grave might be appropriate.
"He also developed a talent for dancing, and in the 1950s he became manager of an Arthur Murray dancing school in Tampa."

6. I attended his church one sunday with my future in-laws.
Sure enough, he went into some rant about taking action outside of church to stop homosexuality. If I could have I would have walked out that instant.

I would imagine that the people who attended his church regularly got fed that poison every sunday for decades. What a sad man.

10. Ah. Well, I'm neither morning nor rejoicing.
Fortunately as a non-Christian I would have no reason to be ashamed if I was glad to hear he is dead.

9. It's funny, but I had this sense this morning of feeling lighter of foot
But I had heard no news, and my thought was "I wonder if one of those criminal shitbag 'Christian' leaders is dead?"

What wonderful news!

That totally makes up for the past five hours of pure fucking misery I've had trying to get my email program not to crash my computer (which I have finally solved).

this morning!!

I only heard him preach one sermon....about how the Jerusalem Church brought its poverty on itself, because its members "held all things in common". They deserved what they got, because they were COMMUNISTS! :eyes: And then he posthumously scolded St. Paul for collecting money to help 'em out...which led to a diatribe about not being bleeding hearts, and the evils of government programs.

I wanted to change the channel, but it was like a bad car accident on the interstate. I couldn't turn away.

Glad your 'puter's up and running.

It is a beautiful day! :hi:

11. I'm sure the Coral Ridge Hour's legacy of hate and intolerance will continue without him...
...and I say that as a fellow good Christian.

U.S. Senate Chaplain, Ann Coulter, Tony Perkins Among Speakers at Reclaiming America for Christ Conference; March 2-3, 2007, in Fort Lauderdale

Contact: John Aman, Reclaiming America for Christ, 954-334-5330, j.aman@crministries.org

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 29 /Standard Newswire/ -- U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry Black, author Ann Coulter, and Family Research Council president Tony Perkins are among the sixteen speakers who will address the Reclaiming America for Christ conference, March 2-3 in Fort Lauderdale. The annual event is aimed at stirring and equipping Christians to be "salt and light"–agents of moral witness in American public life and culture.

The two-day power-packed conference takes place at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, the church home of popular TV and radio minister Dr. D. James Kennedy. (Dr. Kennedy suffered a cardiac arrest in late December and will not be speaking at the conference.)

"This event promises to be inspirationally rich, as attendees hear, one-by-one, from dynamic leaders about the task ahead for Christians," said Dr. Gary Cass. "We face an all-out war against immorality in our society. This event will provide Christians deep within the trenches with a welcome respite from the battle and fuel to carry on."

"This conference gives the lie to these purple-prosed, scare-mongering accounts," said Cass. "Reclaiming America for Christ attendees are everyday God-loving, God-fearing people who seek the best for our country by a return to godly principles."

Founded in 1996 by Dr. D. James Kennedy, the Center for Reclaiming America for Christ is a national grassroots organization with participants in all 50 states. The Center provides information, training, and support to help Christians positively affect the culture and renew the vision of the Founding Fathers.

I was going to ask about the logic behind that, but on second thought...
