Arggg! I think I screwed up an interview
Edited on Thu Sep-06-07 08:10 PM by fujiyama
Damn! It was such a good opportunity. I mean, I was so perfect for the position, but I just couldn't give a good answer for some simple questions...and I messed up some REALLY simple technical questions...DAMN DAMN DAMN! And to think I got so far...

Oh well, I guess I should be happy I got the interview....but :( I hate my job so much, but I like the company I'm at. They gave me the opportunity to interview and then I blow it...

1. Well...if this one doesn't work out....
Get a friend to role play with you.

Rehearse THOSE kind of questions.

Once you speak them out loud a few times it won't feel so unnatural.

2. Why not write a really great thank you letter?
It allows you to grovel for the opportunity but then you can explain you were nervous and give the answers you wanted to give.

All is not lost. Sometimes if you write a really great post inteview letter letter, you can get the job. Many people will not write to thank. Do so immediately and you'll make a better impression.

3. Good idea
The thank you letter is definitely going out tomorrow morning. What's frustrating is that I work at the company - this was an interview for a much better job though. I feel like such an ass for blowing it.

Oh well, I gave the HR guy my references. I'll send them all thank yous tomorrow. Either way, I'm bummed. I could have done better.
