19. I prefer dry or brut champagne. It's been a while since I had some DP!
I settle for Corbel or the like.

I don't drive to CT much anymore, though the way I go there takes me through Harrisburg across i-78 to i-278 and over the tappan zee. timewise its about the same as going straight up through nj over the njtpke.

I did live in NJ a few years ago (s.orange)

However, I still drink Korbel. Blame Haruka!

She bought a bottle of Korbel home when I got my job in NJ, and her Guido cousin bought us Korbel, as part of our wedding shower gift.

43. If you go into GD make sure you have your receipt handy
Here's the Reader's Digest condensed version.

Some guy visits his family and they stop by Circuit City so he can buy a birthday present for his niece. On the way out of the store a clerk working the desk by the front store asks to see this guy's receipt but the guy thinks this is some violation of the rights.

Clerk calls managers and manager & clerk follow this guy out to the guys car (where is family including the niece are waiting). Manager says something about detaining, guy says he's calling the police, police shows up and ask for IDs and yada yada yada the guy is arrested.

RamboLiberal googled the guy's name and found out this guy as a boatload of cash but still has a paypal account set up while he solicits donations from a few of us bleeding heart liberals who feels our constitutional rights are being repressed by a practiced routinely done at stores since probably back in the early 90s

I could be right, I could be wrong - but that's about the whole story

62. I have to tell you about how I almost pissed my panties at Macy's today
Edited on Sat Sep-08-07 10:04 PM by LynneSin
So today is their big one day sale and I'm going to town in housewares (after I hook up with some new clothes). I've got all this kitchenware stuff that is plastic and you know how plastic stuff gets after years of dishwasher abuse. I'm getting rid of all that scummy stuff and got all this great stainless steel mixing bowls, utensils, pyrex, new knife set - I went crazy (and for as much stuff that I got my bill was still less than $125.

So anyhow, with all these boxes PLUS my stop at Teavana and clothing department, I needed help getting my housewares stuff down to the car. Sucks that housewares is on 2nd floor and Macy's doesn't have shopping carts. But they do have a employee that shuffles purchases from 2nd floor down to customer pickup. Works for me - nice service.

So I'm patiently waiting and when it's my turn the guy manning customer pickup asks for my receipt.

I just about pissed my panties from laughing so hard.
