If you see any thread with no replies do you sometimes reply just so the OP
doesn't feel bad that no one replied?

I do. And I bet someone has done it for me and so thank you.

I think it is a nice thing to remember. Some people are more sensitive than others and I have read some people stating that the never get replies.

1. My dear Maraya1969...
I do, sometimes...

Especially if I know the person...

I know how bad I feel if it takes a long time for anyone to reply to my threads!

6. Nice. I didn't know Bobby Sherman had a version, I always think
of The Foundations when I hear that. Whenever I think of Bobby Sherman, I think of the song Seattle, from the TV show Here Come The Brides

10. Oh no!
You mean "the bluest skies you'll ever see" nonsense? I never understood that song because everyone knows it rains here all the time!

Thanks for the ear worm...:hi:

15. You went from Seattle to CC? That's quite a change.
Haven't watched "Underdog" but I'm somewhat of an expert on earworms:

MacArthur Park

Afternoon Delight

Enjoy!

15 cities between those two.

I like Donna Summer, but I've always preferred the Richard Harris version of MacArthur Park. Then I start to get an earworm, but my thoughts turn to Professor Dumbledore and I get distracted.

Afternoon Delight doesn't really stick with me for that long.

I tend to get stuck with ones like

Reflections Of My Life
Atlantis
In The Year 2525
Brandy

It's strange actually. Even though I like many genres of music, and listen to music from many decades, those above are the type that I get earworms over.

12. Sorry you didn't get any responses, hfojvt
The 1st president I voted for was JFK. Someone decided that for the 2008 election, the earlier the campaign started, the better. I disagree. The election is 14 months away and a lot of things can happen in that time. I haven't decided yet who I'm going to vote for, so I don't usually weigh in on political threads. Please don't let the lack of responses discourage you...ok?

:)

13. Yes, I try to because I know how much it sucks when you think you've come up
with an interesting topic of discussion and everyone ignores it. But some stupid thread about absolutely nothing gets a zillion replies.

21. It's even worse when you have low post #'s.
Then it's like being the uncool kid in high school.

You are not in the IN crowd, so no one even sees you.
