Weather forecasting by aches and pains |
|
~sigh~
I know ThomCat can relate. We had fog come in over the mountain last night and it cooled down considerably. Which means that every bone in my body aches. Not as much as it would if it was going to rain, mind you. This is the "cool and foggy" ache.
The "cold, wet and windy" ache is the worst. x(

Since we got dry after that big hot and humid spell, I have been aching too.

Get something good out of the deal, ya know? Sorry you're achy, too. And having trouble with insomnia, I saw.

I know for a fact that I am far more accurate than the clowns they pay six figures to forecast the weather.
I live in an area where the weather does not change much and still they get it wrong!

11. We should form our own weather network |
|
with each of us predicting weather in our areas. :P
My coworkers check with me because I'm definitely more accurate than the tv guys.

13. Now there's a great idea |

We could call it Weather Underground. Oh, wait.... I think that's been used.... :P

There's the Change in Air Pressure ache, And the Damp but not quite rainy ache, And the High Winds ache, And the Rapid Change in Temperature ache, etc,
 The combination of suddenly cold, wet and windy is definitely the worst.
I hope you get some good, stable weather soon, and I hope it stays awhile.

5. It's supposed to get downright hot over the weekend |
|
At least that's the last I heard. I can do downright hot - sweaty and gross is vastly better than achy.

This weather change was rather abrupt and dramatic. It's still cool and cloudy here way inland and that's VERY odd in the summer. The temp is still about 65 degrees. We should be back to normal tomorrow.

Broke my right foot when I was 18 - that talks to me. Broke my back 9 years ago - that talks to me. Arthritis in my wrists, shoulders, low back and knees, especially the left knee.
I feel like the old-timer in a bad Western sometimes. :eyes:

|
- this morning I still hurt. Now granted Uno moves like a damn camel, but jeez! It has been cloudy and cooler here too - I have decided it is the weather. For sure in the winter - owwww.

17. When we moved from the humid Southeast to the dry Southwest |
|
the arthritis in my knee disappeared. It eventually came back - even low humidity can't deal with bone on bone. I'm sure I would have had a knee replacement several years earlier if we'd stayed in the Southeast. Humidity does make a difference.

19. I'm thankful the humidity is low here |
|
We usually don't get the coastal fog on my side of the mountain - when we do, that's when I ache. Humidity also does a number on my migraines.
For the most part, my aches and pains do pretty well here - I'm just exercising my right to bitch today. :hi:
