I wish 'No Name, No Number' would stop calling me. |
|
Either that, or leave a message on the machine.
Whoever it is apparently is exempt from the 'Do Not Call' list.

2. There have been times when I've picked up the phone |
|
just so I could at least say, "Please put me on your do-not-call list," but no one is there!
When I lived in Maryland, I had some sort of service where blocked calls rang differently. I don't remember what it's called, but I'd love to have it again! :)

5. You can have your phone |
|
service set up to not accept blocked calls. If their number is blocked they get a recording that says the number they are calling does not accept blocked calls. Then if they want to talk to you they have to unblock their number before calling you.

8. Are you talking about Anonymous Call Rejection (*77) ? |
|
I just read about it on Time Warner's website and activated it.

11. The funniest one I ever saw was OUT OF AREA 555-5555. Perhaps you may not know about |
|
movie making customs and regulations, but if you use a telephone number that will be either audible or visible on film, you MUST (or should) use the PREFIX 555 -- which does not exist in any area code anywhere. (The other numbers can be anything you want.)
So some stupid telephone employee actually listed this somewhere with a totally bogus telephone number, which is really infuriating.

14. Pain in the ass is ALWAYS on the phone. Doesn't he/she ever sleep? |
|
I avoided that doofus like the plague....and then one day realized one of those calls was from my husband on a business trip in London. Oh well, he can leave a message and tell me to pick up the phone. Still not going to risk it!
