Oh frickin' UGH!
JackMN had a one-on-one classroom aide in preschool last year. She adored him and was totally sweet, and he loved her. She may be his aide again this year- I'll find out Monday.

I happened to drive by her house today and smack on the bumper of her car is THIS:

Omg. Omg.
I'm so disgusted my stomach hurts. I thought someone whose paycheck is threatened yearly by cutbacks in education funding would be a bit more to the left side of the political spectrum. Guess not. Disappointing.

1. Work hard and be happy in spite of the Bush empire's tendency to recessions.
In other words, work hard to shove your head deeper into the sand. Everything is okay if you can ignore what you don't like.

4. I want to scream when I read that bumpersticker. I've seen it twice.
It's one of the most irritating, ignorant, bullshit statements I've ever encountered on a bumper.

2. repeat after me
She is dead to me! People who think that way should not teach children and influence them.
I would ask to be moved on religious grounds that you're child is in danger of losing his soul.

11. Shame....

I really don't care for the overtly-divisive stickers, t-shirts, etc... I have plenty of republican friends and associates, and though we sometimes (OK- MOST of the time) disagree about things, for the most part we're always able to end with, "well, isn't a good thing we can disagree amicably?"

Of course, living where I do, if I were to put a "Annoy a Conservative" sticker on my car, I'd probably get keyed or worse.

On edit: My SO has the "BUSH- Like a Rock.... only dumber" sticker on his car, and so far nothing has been damaged, so maybe it's not as bad as I think.

...that she needs to work harder and be happier, 'cos you're not annoyed yet.
