Ah, revenge is best as a dish served cold........ |
|
To make a very long story short, a manager at work who gave me a great amount of misery when I worked in her section (I wasn't one of her favourites, she sided with the work bully over me, essentially forced me into stress leave, etc, etc.) is going to dragged into a grievance hearing at work over unfair things she has done in the workplace.
I'm away from her now (in a way) but her ways have still affected me and others at work, so we filed a grievance, and months later the hearing is finally scheduled.
Thing is, I can't be there to see her cringe. I'll be away on my vacation........in London. Ahhh.......
Hmmm, what a fair turnabout for somebody who both dragged me into unnecessary and abusive meetings and made my days unhappy.
I'll raise a pint to the #$#@$@#$ :D :bounce:

1. A story from my past about a manager |
|
He was hired in to manage a project and was a hideous screaming asshole to me. Enough so that our VP apologized later for hiring him.
Since I was the main computer guy and handled all the needed stuff on the fist round of layoffs he was let go and had to turn his badge into me and knew I was staying on (plus I had to walk him out to the parking lot).
About a year later we all finally went and I was the last one to leave the building (and was kept on from home to finish up some data base conversions for company that bought us out).
I did feel bad for him, but was also happy for me.

2. People who make others' lives a misery suck |
|
Our present manager is one of them - he's a petty tyrant who gets off on berating and belittling people for no reason. I really can't wait until he gets his.

3. I've watched all the arrogant bastards get fired, one by one, |
|
or leave one step ahead of getting fired. I'm still here managing projects and handling global clients. Last I heard, the worst of the assholes is a small-time consultant for a no-name firm.
Sometimes, life is good. :)

4. Last winter I walked into work one day..... |
|
to discover that my asshole, incompetent boss and my office nemesis (whom my boss usually sided with against me) had taken each other out. The nemesis quit, and in the process of doing so, filed some sort of complaint which resulted in my boss resigning.
One of the best days of my life.
