So I don't have Hep C after all,
and never did.

I tested positive for Hepatitis C antibodies a few weeks ago.

After waiting for what seemed TOO long I called the clinic.

"Oh, we only call if there is a problem"

"So me waiting to find out about a potential sword hanging over my head doesn't constitute a problem?"

......................silence...................

Viral load: negative, antibody presence: negative, liver function: normal.

So I'm glad for the news, just pissed off I had to make the call.

Hey, I'm ecstatic about the news.

6. My Doc said to hold off telling her or any other partner
until I had confirmation.

So I didn't.

8. Amd I didn't find out until after an unrelated parting of the ways.
Still looking for love in all the wrong places.
Looking for love in too many faces,
Searching their hearts,
Looking for traces,
Of what I'm dreaming of.

Seem to be on an Eastern European jag currently.

Oil well.

11. Here's hoping you stay negative.
A couple of studies I read three or four years ago maintain that 30% of people who test positive for Hep C have no idea how they were exposed. Just a fun factoid for you there.

14. sorry that you had a scare but glad that it turned out to be nothing
I really wish they'd automatically notify with all test results regardless of the outcome. I seem to recall a couple local cases of women who ended up with advanced cervical cancer because they weren't notified that they had an abnormal Pap and assumed because they didn't hear anything that the results were ok. I'm glad this turned out to be a false alarm
